TravelCalc (travelcalc.io) is run by Scott Flower, trading as The Solo Flower. For anything about your data, email scott@thesoloflower.com.

What we collect, and why

• Your trips. Searches, budgets and route plans are saved in your own browser (local storage) so you can use them again. They stay on your device. You can delete them any time from My trips → “Delete everything saved on this device”.
• Your email address, only if you type it in to get a budget or day plan by email. We also receive the trip details you asked us to send. We use these to send you what you asked for and, if you agreed, occasional trip emails from The Solo Flower. Our legal basis is your consent.
• Basic technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider sees your IP address and browser details when you load a page, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Who processes it for us

• HighLevel (LeadConnector), our email and contact system. Stores your email address and trip details. Based in the USA; transfers rely on standard safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the website.
• Travelpayouts and the travel brands we link to, only if you accept cookies or click an affiliate link. See our cookie policy.
• To build your results, your browser fetches public data directly from services such as ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com), Nager.Date, Wikipedia/Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, OpenFreeMap map tiles, Google Fonts and unpkg. They see your IP address when they deliver that data.

We never sell your data, and we never take card details on TravelCalc. Bookings are paid on our partners’ own websites.

How long we keep it

Your email address and trip details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where it applies) you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. Email scott@thesoloflower.com. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

TravelCalc is meant for adults planning travel. Don’t send us your email if you’re under 16.
